Year 6 School Leaders: If you are one of the school leaders, you will have received a contract letter on Thursday 20 February. Please get it signed by your parents and bring it back to school on Monday.

Kick It: There will be Kick It on Wednesday. Bring your correct school PE uniform. There is no swimming this week.

Library: This Monday - bring your books back to school so that you can swap them for new books. Senior children can take out two books at a time. The books will be issued for two weeks, but can be returned weekly if necessary.

Religious Education: Last week, children brought their RE learning journals home to be viewed. Initially, I had written on the blog that they were to be signed by a parent, but then realised that there was no actual box/area set to do this. I changed the wording on the blog on Monday, but for all those parents who read the blog on Sunday, this was a bit confusing. My apologies for the change. At the front of the journal, there was one page that explained the RE programme - this was where a signature was required. When the journals next come home, there will be more work to view, and on one of the pages, there will be a box for you to sign and leave a comment.

Week 3 Notices

We had a great turn out of parents for the 'Meet the Teacher' evening. I have also had the pleasure of meeting many more parents over the last two weeks. Thank you for your support. I aim to continue building home / school partnerships throughout this year as this certainly has a positive influence on your child's learning and general well-being at school.

Camps: General information will be sent home shortly. We do not yet have exact costs for camps. But, if you wish to begin automatic payments, please contact the office. It might help if you don't have extra camp costs at the end of the year. Both Year 5 and 6 camps will be in December.

Swimming: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Bring your togs and towel on these days. Swimming tutors from the Aquatic Centre will be taking you for lessons.

Kick It: On Wednesday- bring your PE gear.

Homework: New homework has been set for two weeks. Study Ladder tasks have been added and you will all get usernames and passwords on Monday.

Gala Day: Next week, 27th February, is our Gala Day. Please bring in as many items as you can. House points will be given for each item you bring.

Manners: There is a big push at school for children to say 'please' and 'thank you'. Children, make sure you practise your manners at home and out in the community as well.

Have a great week.
